Rum&Coke - Premixed or Home-made?
September 01st, 2009
nonono asked:
Which is better, buying pre-mixed rum and coke in a can, or buying coke and rum separately and mixing them together yourself? What is the best rum to use, and how much of each?
Here in Australia they sell it in pre-mixed cans, they use a generic cola, but it is still called ‘Rum&Coke’.

I would say buying them separately and mixing them yourself. I think that the best rum to use is Captain Morgan, and the amount all depends on your personal preference.

Pre-mixed *****! Make your own so you can strengthen it to what you want. Bacardi has a lot of different flavors to choose from and is very good. Some specialty rums are better, but more expensive.

You’ve gotta mix your own, then you get it just the way you like it.
And with rum, you can still be a little cheap and still get good drinks because it mixes well even if the quality isn’t great.
