Maybe they buy cigarettes because they are stressed about being low income. And who are you to say they aren’t buying food, too?

Low income people buy cigarettes as much as most people. It just seems like they buy it more because cigarettes and beer take up a higher proportion of their income than most people.
It is interesting, though, how a lot of low income people do smoke and drink. Wouldn’t they put priorities first… like food and their children? I don’t understand, but then again, that’s not my life.
