I went to college in a small, dry Texas County (Erath). There happened to be about 6 different places where you could be served alcohol. But, you had to drive about 30-45 minutes to be able to buy package beer, wine or spirits... The places that served alcohol all had "memberships" that were usually free. It’s not uncommon.

They do have private clubs you can go to. Other than that you'll have to drive to a wet county to get your stuff. It's all legal as long as you don't buy it out of the state.
